The Maxima Legal lawyer Natalia Zelentsova believes that administrative pursuit of vendors for the sale of sanctioned products is unlawful.

As the expert told the "Rosbalt" reporter, the import of banned products is considered illegal, unlike their sale. "This position was confirmed with an according decision by the Saint Petersburg and Leningradskaya region's arbitration tribunal", the lawyer stressed. On 30 July a seminar for private clients on the subject of inheritance planning with regard to personal assets was held at the Maxima Legal office in St. Petersburg.

The seminar was staged by the company’s newly-established Private Wealth Department, which deals with various legal matters connected with clients’ personal assets, including inheritance planning, structuring of family property, private investments, real estate deals, securities, yachts and aircraft in Russia and abroad and the resolution of other private matters. The moderator for the seminar was Natalya Zelentsova, Head of the Private Wealth Practice.

The main speaker was notary Elena Antonova, who has joined the Maxima Legal inheritance planning team. She spoke about the pluses and minuses of inheritance by law and inheritance by will, and about the aims and instruments of inheritance planning. The seminar also discussed possible mechanisms for transferring property to legatees and the special rules relating to the inheritance of assets abroad.

Mixed-use is a worldwide development trend of the real estate market, which has been started long ago. In Europe, it is more and more common for properties to combine multiple functions: living, retail, cultural. In Saint-Petersburg, there are still few classical multi-purpose complexes. Many of them are still under construction and the crisis can impact their eventual functionality.

Evgeny Druzhinin, the Head of "Real Estate and Construction" practice at Maxima Legal, cautiously stated that there is a set of permitted and conditionally permitted types of territorial zone use, outlined in the Regulations for land use and construction. Furthermore, Evgeny mentioned that the total amount of space of a plot of land occupied by conditionally allowed facilities cannot exceed 50% of the overall space available on it.
