Experts believe that the infrastructure for hosting holidaymakers is still underdeveloped, despite the existence of several hundreds of hotels and resorts in the region.

Builders from Saint-Petersburg are slowly but steadily relocating to the neighbouring areas surrounding the city. Experts state that there is more dwelling being built in region 47 than that inside the city boundaries already. Meanwhile, analysts point out the need for construcrion of satellite cities instead of small-scale micro-districts. That would mean erecting new centres of development, which will possess workplaces and points of attraction for the population inhabiting them.
