Apartments “at the gunpoint” of the market: we learn to manage in a new fashion

The leading real estate market experts met on the 14th of April in Holiday Inn St. Petersburg hotel. The head of real estate and construction of Maxima Legal, Evgeny Druzhinin, performed at the round table Apartments: the format nuances – concept, project, effective management, equipment….

The program was moderated by Dmitry Sinochkin, the managing editor of the newspaper Nedvizhimost i stroitelsto Peterburga. The heads of the largest development companies of the Northern Capital, advisers, representatives of managing companies and law firms were among the invitees.  

The discussion was focused on the specifics of apartment hotels as a new format in the real estate market in some way combining features of residential and commercial apartments. Management issues were in the limelight: there were discussed advantages and disadvantages of various management methods and reasonableness of additional expenditures at the design stage for subsequent sufficient cost-cutting in course of operation.

“Apartments are really a delicate format”, Evgeny Druzhinin emphasized in his speech, “apartment management equally affects interests of several parties: lessees, managing company, investors and owners living in the apartments on their own. Today no lawful apartment management model accommodating the balance of all interests has passed the reality-check yet”.
