Maxima Legal contributes in facilitation of public private partnership dialogue between Saint Petersburg and regions

Vladimir Kilinkarov, Maxima Legal partner and the head of PPP practice took part in the IV annual seminar:   Sharing Experience in the Implementation of PPP Projects in Russian Regions, Blueprints and Proposals for Disseminating of the Most Sought-After Project.

The foregoing event took place on 14 February in Saint Petersburg on the initiative of the Non-Profit Partnership for the Development of International Cooperation "Saint Petersburg - London 2003" (SPL-2003) with the support of the Saint Petersburg Finance Committee and Saint Petersburg Investment Committee.     

Representatives of various constituent territories of the Russian Federation were invited to join the meeting in order to share field experience in launching, implementation and support of public private partnership projects.

One of the most vital questions brought up was legal support of the implementation of major infrastructure projects in Russian regions within the framework of federal PPP legislation being shaped.  

"There is an opportunity that this seminar becomes an operating valid forum for sharing both positive and negative experience in the implementation of large-scale social projects.  It will help local authorities in conducting constrictive policy in the sphere of infrastructure construction and permit their private partners to avoid known mistakes" - Vladimir concludes
