Natalia Demina, Associate at Maxima Legal, has been quoted in Dyelovoi Petersburg (a business newspaper) regarding a case involving Japanese clothing producer Fast Retailling Co Ltd and OAO Airline UTair about the airline ceasing use of the trademark ‘UT’ in connection with clothing.

Natalia commented that in the proceedings issues to be addressed include whether the claimant (Fast Retailling Co Ltd) can show their interest in the trademark ‘UT’ in connection with clothing, whereas UTair will need to establish the fact of the brand’s usage.
