Intellectual Property Law journal of Yurist publishing house publishes an article by Natalia Zelentsova Hard-edged approach of the Russian Authors Society to charging of royalty and views of the arbitrazh court, where the author rises a question of lawfulness of charges being collected by the Russian Authors Society from concert organizations if they perform mixed concert programmes (consisting of both copyrightable and uncopyrightable works).   Natalia analyses provisions of the Russian Civil Code related to the proportionality of distribution of royalty as exemplified by the famous dispute Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Hall named after D.D. Shostakovich vs. the Russian Authors Society.
